Rock the Runway takes place from 7:30-11 p.m. at Twin City Limousines and Event Center in downtown Little Rock. The third annual fashion show raises support for Fighting Fancy, a nonprofit that provides beauty products to women in chemotherapy. The event will feature designs and trends from local boutiques and designers. The dress code is black-and-white cocktail attire. Tickets are $100, $150 for VIP, and doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The Albert Pike Masonic Center holds the seventh annual Shine A Light on Literacy fundraiser from 6-9 p.m. The event will educate guests on Literacy Action of Central Arkansas’ efforts to promote literacy in the metro area. Its programs promote job literacy, family literacy and health literacy. Drinks, a wine pull and an auction will be featured. Tickets are $50.
An Evening With Dianne Reeves fills the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center from 7:30-10 p.m. Five-time Grammy-winning jazz singer Dianne Reeves will perform at this fundraiser, which will benefit outreach and educational programs through Mosaic Templars. The opening act will be Rodney Block and The Real Music Lovers. Tickets are $100 for general admission, $75 for premium balcony seating and $50 for regular balcony seating.
The Thea Foundation presents its 2015 installment of Thea Paves the Way, an annual event allowing community members to create chalk art in front of the Clinton Presidential Center. The collaboration, which will be held from 8 a.m. to noon, aims to engage students, leaders and family members, and it has been known to attract more than 500 participants. Thea Paves the Way also features music and entertainment. Admission is free, and participants are encouraged to bring their own chalk.
